Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming Attends the Handover Ceremony for the Third Batch of China-Aid Emergency Relief Supplies to Nepal

On the afternoon of September 3, 2026, the third batch of China-aid emergency relief supplies successfully arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, aboard a Y-20A large transport aircraft of the PLA Air Force of China. Ten forensic experts, as the fourth batch of Chinese experts to Nepal, also arrived on the same flight.

H. E. Mr. Zhang Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, and Honourable Mr. Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation of Nepal, attended the handover ceremony for the relief supplies, and welcomed the Chinese experts.

The relief supplies include urgently needed items in Nepal such as mortuary freezers, epidemic prevention material, and daily necessities. The Chinese forensic experts will promptly begin their work to assist Nepal in advancing the victim identification process.

The third batch of relief supplies also includes Bailey bridges that are critically needed by the Nepali side for disaster relief. The specialized equipment for erecting the first batch of Bailey bridges has arrived at the Lizi–Nechung border port by land for handover.
